Apple Can Now Easily Connect to Galaxy Buds and Watches

Apple devices are popular because they work very smoothly together. When you use AirPods or an Apple Watch, they connect to an iPhone very quickly. Most of the time, you just turn them on and tap once on the screen.

Before, this easy connection only worked with Apple products. If you used Galaxy Buds, a Galaxy Watch, or any other non-Apple device, connecting them to an iPhone was more difficult. Now, this is starting to change.

Apple Is Adding New Features in iOS 26.3

Apple is introducing new changes in iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3. These updates are currently in public testing and are expected to be released in January 2026.

The purpose of these updates is to make it easier to use Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watches with iPhones and iPads.

Easier Connection for Galaxy Buds

With iOS 26.3, pairing Galaxy Buds with an iPhone becomes simpler. Users will no longer need to go through many steps to connect their earbuds.

Although Apple’s one-tap connection is still only for AirPods, the new system makes third-party earbuds much easier to set up and use.

Galaxy Watch Can Now Show iPhone Notifications

Another useful feature is notification forwarding. This means your iPhone can send notifications to a Galaxy Watch or other smartwatches.

You can see messages, app alerts, and other notifications directly on your watch. Earlier, this feature worked mainly with Apple Watch, but now it also works with non-Apple watches.

Keep in mind that notifications can only be sent to one watch at a time. You cannot receive notifications on both an Apple Watch and a Galaxy Watch together.

Available Only in the European Union

These new features are only available for users in the European Union (EU). Apple has not shared when or if these changes will come to other countries.

The update is linked to EU rules that encourage better compatibility between different brands.

Final Thoughts

This update is good news for iPhone users who prefer Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Watches. Apple is slowly making its devices more open to other brands.

For now, only EU users can enjoy these improvements, but many people hope Apple will bring these features to other regions in the future.
